Description:

Join us for a fantastic evening tasting fine whisky's, reading poetry and learning about this historical event. You'll enjoy an evening of socialising and an hour of interactive education.  We make learning about food and drink fun SOCIAL, & entertaining, so expect a lot humour, fun facts, story telling and laughter with like minded people.

Please note, the tasting starts at 7, however, you can arrive from 6 to enjoy a drink, social & bite to eat before. Please try to arrive before 6:45. Thank you

What’s included:

You’ll enjoy a presentation on four fine whisky's, from different regions as well as the cutting of the Haggis and a small tasting selection neeps and tatties / traditional Scottish food

The formal part of the guided tasting will last around an hour with some socialising mixed in.

Time: The doors open for check-in at 6:00 pm.  The  tasting starts at 7:00pm and ends by 8:30pm.

However, most people stay on for a bit of social, food and drink after the tasting.

Venue:

The Walrus and The Carpenter takes its name from a poem by Lewis Carroll. The verse is recited by Tweedledum and Tweedledee in 'Through The Looking Glass'. We stand in the shadow of history, in view of The Monument to commemorate the Great Fire of London. The column's height marks the distance to the site of Thomas Farynor's bakery in Pudding Lane where the fire began.

Attending on your own?  Don't worry!!  Most attendees will be on their own and our events are designed to make you feel like your one of the regulars as soon as you arrive.

About your host and presenter:
Kelly Bayliffe created Tastour in 2008 as a place for a diverse mix of singles and couples of all ages to come together to laugh, learn and share food and drink experiences throughout the world - mainly in London, but we do travel together too! Her events are light hearted yet educational, using her unique spectrum of skills as the UK's "Wine Educator of the Year", a stand up comic, laughter yoga instructor and relationship coach. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge, helping others make meaningful connections and enjoying life enriching experiences of all kinds.
