It's our 7th year attending this event as a group....
For the past three years we have hosted a BIG party at the start line and it has been an amazing experience!
It's going to be a great day of enjoying people watching and makeing new friends.
Event Date: 1st July, Saturday
Time: 9:00 am (luxury coach departs from Embankment Tube)
Return to London: 8:30 pm
(Coach departs Henley at 7pm)
This will be our view whilst watching the races.
There is a river taxi, which cost £15 return. You can buy your ticket on the day, or in advance. Details of the boat ride will be sent in your confirmation email. Please note this is optional, but recommended.
No formal dress code applies although many people enjoy entering into the spirit of the occasion by dressing up. The dress is similar to summer wedding wear or garden party. Men tend to wear sport jackets and Long flowy dresses for the girls. (although really anything goes)
Some girls will wear hats. Outside the Enclosures, they tend to be straw hats to protect the face from the 'strong' British sun, rather than fasinators. (Although these are fun too!) My fashion tip: Girls look super cute with little flowers in there hair. It encourages the men to flirt with you by wearing your flower. Hehe
FOOD & DRINK
This is a bring and share event. Please bring what you would like to enjoy on the day, sharing is optional. There are plenty of places to buy food and drink along the river.
A glorious day out at one of the highlight events of the British Summer. Kelly has now taken me to two traditional sporting events - Ascot and Henley. Both were thoroughly researched, well thought out and planned, with a few lessons in the history, etiquette and traditions thrown in. Thank you for two great days Kelly. - Liza
'Fantastic experience! and Kelly is an amazing organiser and host! would love to do it again next year!'- Ksenia
Non members: £50 (Only £45 if you buy your ticket by the 12th June)
Includes: Return transport, a presentation on the History of the Regatta, Blazer Bingo Game, a glass of bubbles, blankets to sit on, insurance, booking & paypal fee
It's worth mentioning that the train requires 2 changes, and is packed - YUCK!! So the upgrade of a return transport greatly adds to the enjoyment of the day. Last year I paid £26 for train tickets for the staff that helped at the event.
Your ticket price is for the coach & organising fee only. Your ticket price does not include space along the river.
***Please note that due to the size of group, only those travelling with the group may join us.***
