I've hired the vineyard for an exculsive after-hour tasting for 20 lucky Tastourians!
Tickets are limited and will sell out fast.
About the vineyard:
Denbies is the largest vineyard in England. It's won many awards and features on high-end restaurant list such as Claridges.
At the vineyard:
It's like Disney Land here. The train ride around the vineyard is magical and will be a well deserved rest after the hike.
The tour inside will last 50 minutes and the train rain will also last 50 minutes. Total time at the vineyard is 2 hours
On arrival, we can refuel in this lovely conservatory.
After the tour:
There is an upmarket village pub very close to the train station. We will be stopping for a drink and nibbles after the tour.
Transport: To be confirmed closer to the date
Please note: The tickets are only valid on this train, so you need to be on time please.
We'll meet at 10 am where you can grab a coffee. We'll leave the meeting spot at 10:20 prompt for the 9:31 train.
We'll meet in front of WHSmith (no 34) and between this and the stall labelled on the map "A Piece of Cake" no 29 (note, it's now actually become "Bread Box" at the station):
***If you do not need train travel, buy a ticket at full price, then email me and I will refund you the difference.***
Return to London We will be catching the 7 pm train, returning to London Victoria at 7:48
On arrival, I will provide a few gourmet nibbles and a taste of English wine from another English Vineyard.
There will be a few nibbles on the tour and food matching - it's not a meal. However, it is all local. At the time of booking the menu was, salmon, chicken, and a veggie option.
There will be time for a coffee and light bite before the vineyard tour.
After the tour you are welcome to join us at the pub near Box Hill after the walk.
