Afternoon Tea Themed Walking Tour of MayfairMap and Directions

Are you passionate about exploring new places to enjoy afternoon tea with all of its wondrous varieties?  Would you enjoy visiting and learning about famous pubs and hotels? Ever heard of the binge-eating composer and the famous gingerbread seller Tiddy Doll?

Join us for ‘Afternoon Tea in Mayfair’.

This is one of sever fascinating walks in the Tastour series and focuses on afternoon tea, expensive hotels, famous pubs and other foodie hotspots in Mayfair.

On this walking tour, you will:

-Take a relaxed, guided stroll starting and ending near Green Park Tube

-See some exclusive hotels, such as Claridge’s and Brown’s, with their expensive afternoon teas

-Take in a famous auction house offering a bargain afternoon tea

-Explore some special fragrant teas in a perfume shop

-Visit some pubs with celebrity connections

-Discover the Georgian passion for ice cream

-Learn about the binge-eating composer and the famous gingerbread seller, Tiddy Doll.

Time: Meet at 13:45 for 14:00 departure.

Location: The location is only sent to paid attendees

Age: Not appropriate for children under 16

Dress: Smart casual: comfortable walking shoes

Location:  near Green Park Tube

Some groups allow over 40 people per guide, whereas we limit the group to 15, therefore the meeting point is only sent to paid attendees to ensure the guide can be heard.

This walk lasts approx. 2.5 hours

A table has been booked at the Chesterfield Hotel for 4:30.

 

For the third year running we are very proud to have received the “Award for Excellence” from The Tea Guild for an ‘Outstanding Afternoon Tea’.  There is a veggie tea, chocolate tea and a few others.

Traditional afternoon tea is £32.50 without Champagne or from £39.50 with.

When you pay for your walking tour ticket, it will ask you if you would like to come.  If the guide is able to change the booking you can decide on the day

Cost:

Non Members: Only £12, if pre-paid on-line 1 week before the walk

£15 is the standard price

Bon Vivant Members: Only £7, if pre-paid on-line 1 week before the walk

There are no tasting samples included in this walk, your guide Joanna will be providing current and historical facts on the area and afternoon tea. It’s a great way to learn more about the area and find out a few interesting places you may wish to return to.
